Yasuko to Kenji is based on a manga that was released during 2005-2006. The main male character, Kenji, is played by TOKIO’s Matsuoka Masahiro and one of the main female character, Erika, is played by the lovely Hirosue Ryoko.

Kenji is an ex-gang leader who got his act together after his parent died in accident and he had to take care of his younger sister Yasuko. He now draws manga for a living and his works are quite popular with females of all ages. Erika is also an ex-gang leader that was in opposition with Kenji’s gang but now works as a florist.

Kenji is usually a normal person except when he has to revert back to his old self to protect his sister Yasuko or when he is in some kind of confrontation with Erika. The ironic thing is that Erika has a secret crush on Kenji but she doesn’t know how to show it and she always ends up arguing with him. What’s even more ironic is that Kenji’s younger sister Yasuko is in love with Erika’s younger brother Jun.

First Kiss and Yasuko to Kenji both tied for first place last week in the polls and will both be uploaded this week. Meitantei no Okite literally means Famous Detective’s Conditions and in this drama the famous detective Tenkaichi Daigoro has to solve mysteries following the usualy cliches associated with mystery novels. I think this drama is pretty funny and I like it a lot. At this moment only 6 out of the 10 episodes has english subtitles for it and I will upload the remaining episodes when subs are available.

This week Byakuyakou and Meitantei no Okite tied in first place in the polls. I just randomly selected one of the series to upload first and the second will follow shortly.

On another note, instead of just using the webhost’s server for downloads I have decided to keep Megaupload and will be uploading dramas to their servers as well. Sekai no Chuusin de, Ai  wo Sakebu aka Sekachu literally means Crying Out Love, in the Centre of the World. It came out back in 2004 and was voted Best Drama at the 42nd Televison Drama Academy Award.

When the drama starts you already know how the story for the main characters end because they start it by using a flashback. The flashback is of a once then 17-year old Sakutaro Matsumoto (Yamada Takayuki) and the love of his life Hirose Aki (Ayase Haruku) who later becomes a victim of leukemia. He is now 34 years old and has lived as someone half dead for the past 17 years after his life without her.

Sekachu takes you through the stages of someone with leukemia and shows you how others around them are affected. This drama was very popular and so was the novel that it originated from. A week after the drama ended a special was also aired.

As promised Koizora is now online! To be honest I thought this drama was pretty average. Or maybe it’s because I have already seen too many of this type of drama. It might be interesting to new Jdrama fans though. I think that Hiro (Seto Koji) is kinda scrawny for his part in this role actually but that’s how most of the actors who play these parts usually are with the exception of a few like Yamapi. This week’s winning drama is Hyoryu Net Cafe which literally means Drifting Net Cafe. I was interested in this drama because Itoh Atsushi was a main character in this series. All in all I think it was ok. I like Densha Otoko a lot better though ^_^. For the full synopsis check out:

The wiki is incorrect when it says that this drama is still airing. It actually finished airing about 2 months ago back in June but english subs for it are not complete yet. The only english subs available for it are hardsubs created by DramaCrazy but they only have up to episode 6 completed. If you happen to understand French though those subs are 100% complete for this drama and can be found in D-Addicts Subtitles Index and the RAWS can be found in their torrent database. I will upload the remaining episodes when they are subbed.

I will be uploading Koizora and Sekachu later this week also even though they didn’t win because there seems to be interest in them and because I have a little more free time this week ^_^. 4 Shimai Tantei literally means 4 Detective Sisters and the 4 sisters of this drama are Sasamoto Yuriko (Kaho), Sasamoto Tamami (Ichikawa Yui), Sasamoto Ayako (Kato Natsuki), and Sasamoto Mari (Nakagoshi Noriko).

Yuriko is the youngest of the 4 and is still in high school. She has trouble reading some Japanese characters the right way and trouble with the correct use of Japanese words in general. Tamami is the 2nd youngest of the 4 and making money is always on her mind. Ayako is the 2nd oldest but acts childish and naive from time to time but is always willing to help. Mari is the oldest and she works as a stewardess.

It all started when their father was away on a excavation trip and became the prime suspect of a murder case. Determined to prove her father’s innocence, Yuriko sets out in search of the real murderer. In the process, she somehow manages to drag her sisters into it also and after that they have been solving a string of murder cases after murder cases. How will this story unfold?
